Stream of Consciousness Sunday: One Day Pass To Whine

Welcome #SOCSunday bloggers! I'm not playing any April Fool's Day pranks but I did sit down to blog about this week's prompt.

Today’s (Optional) Writing Prompt:
What are the things in your life right now that you just don’t want to do?

Right now it's unbelievably peaceful in our home.

My hubby was out late - so he's slumbering away - not concerned that we are missing the early mass.

My Munchkin who has been sleeping poorly due to the onset of early Spring & seasonal allergies.  He did not nap yesterday & slept though the night peacefully for a change without complaining that his nose was plugged & couldn't breathe.

So, I don't want to wake them up. I'm trying to accomplish things without waking either of them & so far two hours later I've been successful. A load of laundry in in the wash, another is folded & put away. I shaved my legs & gave my feet a mini spa treatment.

I do not want to clean up toys after my Munchkin, but it's come to the point of surrender. If he won't - I must. It's driving me insane to have the family room taken over by toys, but that's the life of a parent - you give & take. Some days Munchkin's really good about cleaning them up & other times he could care less. So this morning I put away the toys on the floor of the basement toy room.

I don't want to think about what to make for dinner.  I should really have meals all figured out, but it don't. I normally end up shopping rather than trying to take something out of the freezer to thaw.  Too much work.

I don't want to think about how many work emails I lost overnight that I may have needed.  They delete any emails that are 90 days old at work - every month end.  Most people stopped caring a long time ago, but I struggle & rush to save off what I may have missed most of the time, but last night I was just too worn out.

I don't want to shower & get dressed for Mass but we must.  We are a good Catholic family after all.  ;  )

Last but not least, it's time to plan for Easter. I've been stalling calling my sister-in-law to see which of us will be on the hook, but considering it's only a week away I'd better get off my horse & find out if we'll be hosting this year.

Time is up! And so is my Munchkin.

This was my 5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…

Congrats on getting so much done this morning - you can also add a blog post to your list of accomplishments!

I, too, hate thinking about what's for dinner. I just went into the kitchen to try and figure it out, and left frustrated that I don't really think I want to cook, and don't really think I want anything that is in the cabinets or fridge.

I'm simply amazed you were able to get so much done. I need a good hour and a couple cups of coffee before I can do anything.

I've decided that I will not think about what to cook for dinner since my husband is bowling for the second day in a row. He's not worried about it so neither am I ;-) MY munchkin can be satisfied with something that doesn't require me to burn brain cells. Hope you made it mass. Do you find that every year you are less and less prepared for seasons? I am totally discovering that.

I don't ever want to think about what to make for dinner. Defrosting is a too much work. I opt for take out...so sad, but true.

Stopping by for the first time from #SOCS :)

I'm sorry that the Munchkin is struggling with allergies. Mine are horrible this year.
