Jack Dorsey: The 3 Keys to Twitter's Success (via @the99percent)

There are some days that start off great from the start & you know it's going to be a very productive one.  I was looking to do a bit of research this morning & to gain a bit of guidance about some decisions which have been swirling in my head for the last couple of days. 

After a long & inquisitive conversation, I got off the phone feeling more confident than ever about some choices that may present themselves over the coming days & weeks.  I sat at my desk & glanced over at a piece of paper which says simply:

Step 1: Ask
Step 2: Believe
Step 3: Receive

Those steps are from "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne & references the "Law of Attraction." A few minutes later, a video presentation was referenced in a RT by Jack Dorsey. 

I really felt that what Jack tried to communicate in this presentation is a great example of  "Ask; Believe, Receive";  steps you can take to turn your fantasies into reality.

Jack talked about:

1. "Getting ideas out of your head", getting them down on paper, and "sharing them with others."

2. "Luck" & "Fortune:" "Recognizing opportunities for a build-out of ideas."

3. "The importance of iteration": a continued evolution of your build-out edited based on adaption to service offerings & utilization of ongoing user feedback.

Knock Knock... Opportunity is that you?!

Over this past year I've been trying very hard to believe that when one door slams shut, another will open for you. I just have to stay patient & keep working toward my goal - to be the big breadwinner of the family & employed again. Ask - Believe - Receive - Repeat.  Those simple words make it sound so easy.

Tonight before bed, my son asked what day it was.  He's been asking that a lot lately.  A sign that not only my world has been turned upside down, but his has as well.  Not that I think he's damaged in some way by what has happened over the past year, but rather that he's getting older & can digest or process more of what's going on from day to day.  

We talk about things going back to the way they used to be when Mommy goes back to work & I have to believe that will happen one day.  I used to think soon, but now I'm not exactly sure.  I just have to keep doing my part to help make it happen.

Ask - Believe - Receive - Repeat. Then maybe one day soon, I'll find my next calling. Or it will find me.
